The feeling I feel today is more happiness than I felt when I broke records, Atlet told Sunday Gedei.
In her comments to EPD, the athlete explained that the feeling she felt on her trip to Mecklenburg today is beyond words and the joy she feels when she breaks international records.
"I am happy that our leaders have made peace their choice," Atlet said, adding that the journey to unity should continue for the sake of Sunday, the sustainability of peace and beyond.
An athlete does not hold for the Sabbath; "When I won gold for my country in the 10,000 meters world championship, I was happy because I ran for the honor of my country, my flag, and the people of Ethiopia. However, my happiness was not complete without my family, so I prayed to the creator, 'If only you would grant us peace,' now my wish has come true," she said.
