Modern Bread Factory Built by the First Lady’s Office in Semera City Inaugurates 

#Ethiopia | Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) and First Lady Zinash Tayachew today inaugurated a modern bread factory built by the First Lady’s Office in Semera City, Afar Region.

The factory is said to have a capacity to produce 300,000 loaves of bread per day.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew visited key development projects in Afar Region that demonstrate the region’s agricultural and industrial potential, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Their visit included a visit to an iodized salt factory that began production six months ago and has a capacity to produce 15 tons per hour.

They also visited the successful spring wheat production in the Afar region and the Airolaf Feed Bank Development Center.

The office announced that the region has achieved a remarkable wheat production through irrigation, overcoming the misconceptions about its agricultural potential.

The Prime Minister and the First Lady also inaugurated a modern bread factory built by the First Lady's Office, which will enhance the entire food production chain from field to table.

The office indicated that the factory can grind 420 quintals of wheat per day and produce 300,000 loaves of bread per day using modern machinery.
