Addis Ababa, January 9, 2025 (FMC) The government will monitor and take action against actions that put pressure on the society in an unreasonable way, urged the Minister of Government Communication Services (Dr.) Leges Tulu.

The Minister's message on his social media page. He said that following the reform of the macro economy, the reform in the mining sector, especially gold mining, is generating billions of dollars for the country within half a year.

He also stated that the supportive supervision conducted at the ministerial level in all regions has confirmed that they are changing their lifestyle by benefiting the people.

The minister said that the government is being effective in ensuring the safety of the citizens by establishing peace. They emphasized that these should be strengthened and made sustainable.

In his message, he stated that the government will monitor and take action against any actions that put pressure on the society in an unreasonable way.

The full text of the message sent by the Minister of Government Communication Services to Gesethulu (Dr.) is as follows.

According to the international petrol price data, the average selling price of petrol in the first days of January is US$ 1.25 per litre.

In Ethiopia, it is being sold at 0.805 USD per liter. This indicates that the oil price in Ethiopia is 35 percent lower than the international average selling price.

The selling price of fuel in Ethiopia is much lower than what we have seen in East African countries. For example, in Kenya, 1.351; 1.136 in Rwanda; 1.299 in Uganda; In Tanzania, it is selling at US$1.127 per liter during the same period.

In the poorest countries such as Malawi at 1.459, the Central African Republic is selling at 1.746 USD per liter.

In most African countries, it is selling for more than 1.3 US dollars. Despite the fact that, following the recent increase in oil, some parties to whom the peace of Ethiopia is a foot fire are busy with their gang activities as usual. They never see the price of fuel in the countries they live in.

They present themselves as caring and considerate to the people and others as indifferent to the problems of the people. They do this not because they do not know the truth, but because their hidden nature will be revealed.

Even if they are wrong, they don't raise the issues of good development activity in the respective areas, the peace situation, and the issues that create understanding among the society. Why, this requires the generation of ideas, research and innovation, concrete examples and superiority of ideas. They don't have that.

Small events created in every area is to achieve their evil desires by picking and punishing through rumors. They profit from conflict, violence and chaos. They don't think people can get information. Shame did not turn at their door. Free market and balancing the role of government in the free market is nothing to them.

Blame the government for raising issues that the government is not forced to do in a free market, let alone a socialist system. Attempts to manipulate information for selfish political interests will not go far.

The government recognizes that measures to accelerate development can put pressure on the community. He also believes that it should be done carefully. For this purpose, he plans and dreams and acts as the basis for the lasting benefit of the society. It also helps to solve temporary problems by sharing the burden.

According to this, the Ethiopian government is making huge subsidies for fuel, soil fertilizers, medicine and similar health issues. It subsidizes more than 300 billion birr annually. The government also carries out regular operations. No less than this, it is realizing national initiatives and development programs that are based on speed and innovation, which are cross-cutting for tomorrow's generation and make Ethiopia's prosperity a reality.

In particular, crop production (wheat, corn, sorghum, barley, rice, teff), Lemat Turufat, fruit and vegetable initiatives have been implemented in all areas and are being implemented effectively. Corridor development is building cities that fit the people of Ethiopia.

Work has also been started considering the living conditions of the rural areas and provision of infrastructure. Following the macroeconomic reform, the reform in the mining sector, especially gold mining, is generating billions of dollars for the country within less than half a year. The recent supportive supervision conducted by ministers in all regions has confirmed that they are changing their lifestyle by benefiting the people.

The government is being effective in ensuring the safety of citizens by establishing peace. These should be strengthened and made permanent.

Taking advantage of the situation, any actions that put pressure on the society in an unreasonable way will be followed up.
