Embassies and institutions sent messages of good wishes on the occasion of Christmas

The embassies of various countries based in Addis Ababa have conveyed a message of good wishes to the Christian Ethiopians saying "Happy Christmas 2017".

 

The embassies of Australia, Djibouti, China, Russia, America, Canada, Mexico, Turkey, England, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, and Sri Lanka are among those who sent the message of good wishes.

 

In their message of good wishes, the embassies said that Christmas is a special time when various religious and cultural rituals are performed, Ethiopians gather together and enjoy their traditional meals and play Christmas games.

 

They also wished for the celebration of peace, love, happiness and health for all Christian Ethiopians.

 

At the same time, the Inter-Governmental Organization for East African Development (IGAD), the World Food Program, the United Nations Women's Agency (UN Women), Save the Children and World Vision wished all Ethiopians of the Christian faith a Merry Christmas.
