"Government will continue its campaign against extremists and allied forces": Government Communication Service

The Government Communication Service announced that the government will continue its campaign against terrorists, extremists, thieves and forces linked to interests.

In his statement on current national affairs, the Minister of State for Communication Services, Eta Seifit Kasa, stated that the attacks carried out by militants engaged in terrorist activities, especially targeting innocent citizens, aim to gain attention from other parties and to separate the government and the people.

He said that especially in the past years, when the security forces turned their attention to the northern part of the country, using this as an opportunity, terrorist groups and extremist forces have been carrying out various acts of destruction, especially in the Oromia region and neighboring bordering areas.

He mentioned that the Oromia Special Force and to some extent the Federal Police have been working to suppress these agitations and ensure the peace and security of the citizens.

They explained that the area where the destruction team operates, the terrain, and other complex factors created favorable conditions for the destruction missions.

Therefore, he pointed out that he was moving to put pressure on innocent citizens by carrying out brutal attacks and attacking the security forces.

The Minister of State said that he has been working to strengthen himself with weapons by blocking roads, looting, collaborating with illegal arms dealers and historical enemies, and also said that information indicates that he has been receiving training support for the armed group.

He recalled that these forces have been operating in an evil conspiracy to create conflict between the Oromo and Amhara people by launching an attack based on identity and to cause continuous violence in the country.

He pointed out that the measures being taken against these forces of destruction have begun to yield results.

Recently, when the action being taken against the terrorist group and its extremist groups intensified and the situation seems to have calmed down, horrible acts have started to be spread on various social media, he said.

It has been stated that the entire society should understand that this Armenian action is planned and carried out with the aim of making people afraid and shocked, not to mention harming the lives of innocent people.

Every citizen should understand the purpose and conspiracy behind this act being linked to the defense forces which are led by strict discipline and are sacrificing their precious lives for their people and the country, said Minister of State, Peaceful Kasa.

He emphasized that religious leaders, civic associations and all citizens should condemn this Armenian act which is being done to erode the identity of the next generation.

They hide in the people and create ties with the anti-peace forces to escalate the conflicts in different parts of the country.
