Abandoning mothers and patients injured in emergencies is unethical - Medical Professional

Health officials and health professionals from various parts of the country gave their opinions to ETV regarding the health services in various regions of the country.
Dr. Tegen Bashe, a medical specialist at the Sodo University Comprehensive Specialized Hospital in Wolaita, said that abandoning children, mothers and patients injured in emergencies is unethical.
The specialist added that we have learned through many years of sacrifice not to abandon our people at a critical time.
Sidama Regional Health Bureau Head, Salam Mengesha, stated that complete health services are being provided in the region; adding that work is being done to bridge the gaps in some areas.
Dr. Abdi Amin, Head of the Harari Regional Health Bureau, said that since medicine is a human service, health professionals should ask questions while serving the public.
Health professionals from different regions of the country who gave their opinions on the current situation thanked the health professionals who are serving the public day and night in health institutions where some gaps have been created.
