 Ethiopian student Asia Khlifa has been selected as the 2025 Huawei Seeds for the Future Global Ambassador.

The Seeds for the Future annual training program is one of Huawei's most popular social responsibility initiatives. 

This program last week announced the selection of 2025 Huawei Seeds for the Future Global Ambassadors. 

Among the 12 chosen ambassadors is Asia Khlifa, a fourth-year computer science student at Salale University in Ethiopia.

Seeds for the Future aims to raise the awareness of young students around the world in digital technology and innovation through short-term training. 

For this, short trainings, international competitions and alumni association activities (alumni) will be developed. 

It also focuses on the importance of cultural exchanges and developing the spirit of entrepreneurship, and is committed to accommodating and including diversity, with more than one-third of participants being women. 

Her successful participation in the Huawei Seeds for the Future 2024 program contributed to her selection as Asia's global ambassador. It will give her the opportunity to participate in person and gain practical experience in the 2025 ICT Talent Digital Tour in China, as well as attend other major international events and share technology practical knowledge.

The Global Ambassador Program was created by Seeds for the Future in 2011. Since its inception in 2008, it is to strengthen the relationship of the program's participants. 

It is aimed at expanding the international reach of the program and creating learning and networking opportunities for participants. The program aims to equip young leaders with the program's core values ​​of digitalization, innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability.

The selection process for Global Ambassadors begins with an application through the program's website, and candidates respond by participating in six interviews designed to assess their perceptions and attitudes. A panel of judges will then review all applications and responses, selecting candidates based on applicants' understanding of the International Ambassador Program, communication skills, involvement in the international community, and commitment to action.
