It may be a remnant of a Chinese-owned ShiJian-19 satellite, the Ethiopian Space Science Society said.

 

According to the society, the following scientific hypothesis has been reached based on an in-depth analysis of yesterday's strange space event, which was compiled from various space tracking and data bases. 

 

He said that according to the information, the space object may be the remnant of a Chinese-owned satellite called ShiJian-19. 

 

He explained that the satellite was launched into orbit on September 17, 2017 and returned to Earth on October 1, 2017 after completing its mission. 

 

However, the satellite's various components used in the mission have been orbiting separately from the main satellite. 

 

"Since the information we used for the analysis was obtained from third-party databases, we have to wait until China, the country that owns the satellite, confirms the confirmed information," said the Ethiopian Space Science Society.

 

"The observed body has crossed the southern and southwestern parts of Ethiopia and entered the northern region of Kenya," he explained.
