Woldia General Specialized Hospital started producing oxygen 

#Ethiopia Woldia General Specialized Hospital has announced that it has started producing oxygen for medical use. 

He observed that 70 million Birr was spent on the oxygen production machine. 

Yosef Mehrete, a biomedical expert at the hospital, told ESA that the experimental production of oxygen to solve the shortage of oxygen production at the hospital started today. 

He recalled that earlier the hospital used to import the oxygen needed for treatment from Desene and private hospitals. 

He mentioned that this has affected the medical service sector as it is difficult to get it in the required quantity and time. 

He mentioned that he installed an oxygen production machine to solve the problem and started production today, adding that the machine has the capacity to produce up to 200 cylinders per day. 

He said that starting to produce and use the oxygen will help to provide complete treatment and will make the product available at an affordable price to health facilities in North Wolona and Woldia cities. 

In Woldia city Kebele 01 resident Mr. Adamu said; They recalled that their son, who was injured in a vehicle accident 6 months ago, was referred to the village as a "Refer" due to lack of oxygen. 

They pointed out that they have been subjected to unnecessary expenses and waste, and that the hospital can now produce oxygen on its own, which will alleviate the problems of the society. 

The oxygen production machine cost 70 million birr. He observed that cooperation between governmental and non-governmental organizations was done.
