The Policy Study Institute stated that institutions' unwillingness to provide information, problems with document retention practices, and related issues continue to be obstacles to research and study activities.

The lack of data from institutions destroyed during the war was raised as another problem.

Mr. Tafari Tiyaro, the Institute's Deputy Director General, said that the Institute is making significant contributions by conducting numerous studies and researches related to policies.

However, he said that since studies and research cannot be completed without sufficient data and documents, when they approach institutions to obtain information for the studies, they are often unwilling to provide it.

He says that although the country's information management is improving, many institutions still do not properly document their information.

He mentioned that among the other challenges they face are a lack of funds or budget to conduct studies, and the ongoing security problems in the country.

We have also heard that the Policy Study Institute completes an average of 40 studies per year.
