Addressing corrupt practices and problems of good governance will continue to be the government's top agenda, said Ato Ordin Bedri, the Head of the Harari Regional State.

A review of the performance of the government and party plans for the 6 months of the 2017 budget year was conducted in Harari Regional State.

At the time, the Head of the Regional State, Ato Ordin Bedri, stated that better performance has been recorded in addressing corrupt practices and improving service delivery in the past 6 months.

However, the Head of the State, who stated that the problems that have not been overcome have been identified in the review, said that he will work diligently to address the limitations by consolidating the results recorded.

He stated that he will start working by preparing a plan based on the directions set at the second conference of the Prosperity Party and the limitations identified in the review.

For this, the leadership should work in a spirit of service by creating unity of thought and action.

He also stated that it is necessary to work hard in the economic sectors to reduce unemployment; improve the livelihood of farmers by increasing productivity and stabilizing the cost of living.

He said that special attention should be paid to creating a productive and healthy generation by ensuring the quality of education and health services, according to the regional communication bureau.

The head of the administration said that despite the long life of Harar city, it has not recorded the growth that befits its age; he added that he will work diligently to expand the corridor development works that have been started to realize the growth that befits the city.

For his part, Ato Getu Weyesa, the head of the Harari regional branch office of the Prosperity Party; indicated that he will work to overcome limitations by strengthening the results recorded in the past 6 months.

He added that the Lemata Turfat project will be given special attention, as it has contributed significantly to reducing unemployment and stabilizing the cost of living.

He also stated that special attention should be paid to preventing illegal land encroachment by systematically managing the limited land resources in the region.
