Accordingly, this Sunday, September 13, 2016, in the early hours of the morning, the machine, loaded by five heavy trucks from Djibouti and entered Ethiopia, was visited by about 20 members of the public and private media while traveling on the Awasa road.

Mr. Bruce Tinney, General Manager of Kantichha Mining and Director of African Mining and Engineering, explained during the visit; We are overwhelmed with happiness that this first machine, which is our first child, entered Ethiopia. He said the second machine will arrive in the country in six weeks before the French New Year.

It has been six years since I came to Ethiopia and started this work, said the general manager of Kanticha Mining, who is a Geologist by profession. He pointed out that schools and health facilities have been built in Kanticha Kebele in Guji Zone in the past years. Their aim is not only to manage the company, but also to enable the community to manage the industry by transferring skills. .

Ali Hussain Mohamed, the senior shareholder of Kantichha Mining, said that we are the first to discover the lithium mineral from the ground. We are visiting the machine that produces 20 tons of lithium per hour while it is on its way. They said that Guji will enter the day after tomorrow.

It is said that Kantichha Mining, whose total investment is 80 billion birr, will create job opportunities for about 2,000 people when it is fully operational.

Ali Hussain Mohammed said that the second machine will enter Ethiopia within 6 weeks. He said that we will start the first production within six months.
