#Ethiopia | Religious leaders said that the Christian people should celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ by giving love and peace to mankind, and by helping each other and togetherness.

The fathers of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church, the Ethiopian Catholic Church and the Union of Ethiopian Evangelical Churches have sent greetings to all Christians on the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, His Holiness Abune Mathias, said in a message that the birth of Jesus Christ is a great demonstration of God's love for man.

They said that when we celebrate birthdays, we should have the idea of ​​instilling God, love, reconciliation and peace in society. 

Since Christ's birthday is God's holiday, they made a paternal call that it should be celebrated by praying for God to bring peace to the land, loving each other, love and reconciliation.

He also sent a message to the community to support the weak and celebrate the festival together.

On his part, the Archbishop of the Ethiopian Catholic Church, His Beatitude Cardinal Birhane Jesus Serafel, said that he wished all Christians around the world a happy birthday.

They said that when we celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, it should be by asking our neighbors, helping those in need, and asking those who are sick.

The Holy Cardinal said that when Jesus Christ brought the son of man to this earth, he wanted to live in peace and happiness. He also explained that when Jesus Christ was born, the sound of peace on earth was heard to emphasize the importance of peace.

Therefore, he mentioned that everyone should do their part to maintain peace, and he pointed out that he should work to ensure lasting peace by not doing to others what he does not allow to be done to himself.

The President of the Union of Ethiopian Evangelical Churches, Pastor Tsadiqu Abdo, expressed his good wishes for peace, health and prosperity on the birthday of Jesus Christ.

He said that when the people celebrate the festival, they should remember the precious price they paid for mankind and celebrate it with respect and love.

He said that we should play a constructive role in helping efforts to build lasting peace in Ethiopia.
