A delegation led by Field Marshal Birhanu Jula has paid a working visit to Somalia, following the discussions held by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Addis Ababa, and the subsequent technical discussions in Mogadishu. 

The delegation was welcomed by the Commander of the Somali National Army, Major General Odawa Yusuf Raghe, and the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Ambassador Abdullahi Mohamed Ali, who appreciated the strengthening relations between Ethiopia and Somalia. 

They expressed their belief that Ethiopia will continue to strengthen its contribution to the fight against terrorism and regional peace. 

They also noted that the Ethiopian government’s diplomatic and foreign policy of prioritizing neighboring countries has great benefits for the Horn of Africa and the peace of the continent.
