The "Sweni Mega Pride" of lions on the road are all juveniles. I have counted seventeen. There were at least 8 adults of the road in the bush. The Pride entertained us for about an hour and all the lions disappeared in the bush. Filmed at the intersection of the H1-3 and the S126 close to Satara and Sweni Water Hole in Kruger National Park on 25 November 2016.
This could be the largest lion gathering any could encounter in their journey to national parks or a trip to country side crossing large forests. Could you even imagine your self being in a skate and face these group. I know that could be really unimaginable.
These lions are feeling the morning sun on the asphalt that crosses a park. Those drivers run out of idea and started watching what could possiblyncome next. They were all nervous until these group leave the road and they start over their journey again.
National parks are meant to be one of the most amazing places to see nature. It is really different to see this animals on Television screen and in person. It takes some luck, actually, to see them in large numbers as they are often busy to get their food.
