The regional government has announced that over 400 kilometers of new and existing roads have been built in Harari Region in the past 6 years, with a budget of over one billion birr.

The regional government is paying special attention to road infrastructure accessibility and is implementing projects that benefit the people in rural and urban areas, and encouraging results have been recorded in the road infrastructure sector.

An average of 50 kilometers of regular and temporary road maintenance work has been carried out every year, and in addition to road construction, bridges connecting villages have been built and opened for service.

The road projects built in the three rural woredas, in particular, are aimed at increasing the benefits of farmers, based on the infrastructure demands that the rural community has been raising for centuries.
