#Ethiopia The successful completion of the 4th round of water filling of the Great Renaissance Dam shows that if Ethiopians stand together for a common goal, no challenge will stop them, said the leader of the Ethiopian negotiating team and Ethiopian ambassador to the US, Dr. Engineer Selshi Bekele.

He said that the success recorded in the construction of the dam has taught us that it is possible to achieve other great development works through cooperation.

Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed announced today that the fourth round of water filling of the Great Renaissance Dam has been successfully completed.

In his message, the Prime Minister said, "Congratulations to all who participated in the work with their money, knowledge, energy and prayers." They expressed their good wishes.

They called on Ethiopians to repeat the cooperation they showed in the construction of the Renaissance Dam in other development projects.

Dr. Engineer Selshi Bekele, the leader of the Ethiopian negotiating team and the Ethiopian ambassador to the United States, spoke to ESA regarding the 4th round of water filling. He said that in the last four years, there has been enough rainfall to carry out the water filling work.

He also mentioned that the water filling work was done without causing any harm to the downstream countries.

For example, he pointed out that this winter, the Aswan Dam in Egypt has been carrying out water drainage work through the ventilation of the dam due to the fact that it contains more than enough water.

He explained that besides being a source of cooperation between the three countries, the Great Renaissance Dam has practically indicated that there is no damage to the downstream countries.

He mentioned that the two turbines that have started generating power are in operation. They also said that more turbines will be put into operation in the current fiscal year.

Dr. Engineer Selshi said that the successful completion of the 4th round of water filling has opened another new chapter in the construction process of the dam.

He said, "The jobs that we will live after will be better than what we have been through before, which is a great success for Ethiopians."

Remember that Ethiopians have contributed their wealth to the construction of the dam. They called for the dam to be strengthened until it is completed.
