In its 19th regular meeting today, the House of Representatives reviewed the nine-month plan implementation report of the Ministry of Planning and Development.

Minister of Planning and Development, Dr. Asefa, while presenting the implementation of his institution's nine-month plan to the House of Representatives, explained the activities carried out in macroeconomic and other national development sectors.

He stated that the country's economy is growing by coping with the national and international challenges faced in the last three years when the 10-year-old leader's development plan was implemented.

They also mentioned that there are indicative results to achieve the plan to achieve 7.5 percent growth in the fiscal year 2015.

According to the information of the Ministry, the activities carried out by the Ethiopian Industry Movement in the manufacturing sector and the revival in the service sector will help to achieve the plan.

He identified inflation and the cost of living as a macroeconomic challenge and stated that he has taken a direction to work with focus.

During the review of the report, the Standing Committee of Planning, Budget and Finance Affairs stressed that the one plan, one report system should be strengthened to make the development plan uniform as a country.
