According to the International Tourism Institute, Ethiopia has ranked 7th in attracting world tourism in the first 7 months of the current 2019 financial year.

 

The institute has announced the tourism flow of the countries from January to July in the current calendar year 2023 compared to 2019.

 

Thus, Qatar (95 percent), Saudi Arabia (58 percent) and Albania (56 percent) recorded the growth of tourist flow in terms of 2019 from 1 to 3, while El Salvador (32 percent), Andorra (31 percent) and Germany (30 percent) respectively. They managed to hold the rank from 3rd to 6th.

 

According to the institute's data, Ethiopia is ranked 7th in the world with a 28 percent increase in tourism flow compared to the European countries in 2019.

 

It is mentioned that 700 million international tourists traveled around the world during the mentioned period, and this is 43 percent more than the same period last year, according to the information obtained from the International Tourism Institute.
