"I don't know what will happen next; even making a phone call is scary" - Nehima Jamal

A few weeks ago, Ethiopian Nehima Jamal, who was "at auction for slavery" in Libya, said she was freed after being paid 700,000 birr to her captors.

Nehima, who was seen in photos and videos with her mouth gagged and being tortured, told the BBC that her captors brought her to the city two days ago after her family collected money from Ethiopia and sent it to her.

She said that although there were many people from the place where she was held, including herself, "only a few people" were paid the money.

Nehima is currently in Libya and says she is "weak and in pain".

"I don't know what will happen next; even making a phone call is scary," she said, adding that she is stressed and finds it difficult to talk.

The information is from the BBC Amharic service.
