Today, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the heroic athlete Haile Gebrselassie delivered a speech at a forum hosted by Amazing Promotion and Event Organizer to celebrate the friendship between China and Ethiopia, coinciding with the 19th Street Run.

"I used to wonder why China came to Ethiopia, and I didn't have a good feeling about it. But after seeing their efforts, I realized I should learn from China," he stated.

Haile emphasized that our people should not only admire the impressive constructions but also learn from the Chinese work culture. "What impresses me most is their dedication and work ethic," he added.

He noted that before the Chinese involvement, projects like Befih were progressing slowly, but now they are being completed much more quickly. "I built this hotel because of you," he expressed, showing his appreciation for China's work culture.

"We are running for the 19th time; this is more than just a competition. The collaboration between Ethiopia and China is not by chance but by choice. I'm glad I changed my perspective," said Haile.

A press conference was held prior to the race, attended by senior government officials, Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia Chen Hai, Major athlete Haile Gebrselassie, other renowned Ethiopian athletes, invited guests, and various media representatives.
