Ethiopia and Uganda Agree to Further Strengthen Their Defense Cooperation

A delegation led by Uganda's Chief of Army Staff, General Muhozi Kainerugab, has arrived in Addis Ababa for an official visit.

During the visit, the delegation consulted with the Chief of General Staff of the Federal Armed Forces, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector.

Field Marshal Birhanu Jula stated that Ethiopia and Uganda have a defense cooperation agreement and discussed areas where this cooperation can be strengthened.

The two countries plan to collaborate in the defense sector through human resource development, industry, information exchange, and crime prevention.

 

General Muhozi Kainerugab emphasized the importance of their discussions and reiterated that they will continue to engage with officials at all levels to implement the agreements.
