The Health Service Management and Control Decree, which is said to save Ethiopians from abuse and unnecessary expenses, was approved
#Ethiopia The House of People's Representatives has approved a decree that will prevent citizens from traveling to other countries in search of new and up-to-date health services.
In its 13th regular meeting held today, the Council examined and approved the report and resolution proposal submitted by the Standing Committee on Health, Social Development, Culture and Sports regarding the Health Service Management and Control Bill.
The Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee, Tadele Buraka (Dr.), said that it was necessary to enact a single framework law for provisions related to health services that are scattered in different laws and unclear for implementation, and the reason for amending the decree.
He said that in addition to these provisions, it is a bill that has been drafted to include new health service provisions that are adapted to the current technology level and to amend the existing provisions to provide a consistent and transparent legal framework for the implementation of health services.
It is said that the decree respects the fairness, accessibility and quality of health services, efficiency as well as public interest, culture and religion and respects the rights of health professionals.
Likewise, it has been stated that the services provided with genetic reproduction and use are prepared in harmony with the society's values, culture and Ethiopian law.
Members of the council pointed out that the decree will prevent citizens from traveling to other countries in search of new and up-to-date health services.
