Prime Media (Addis Ababa)_On the occasion of the establishment of Sheger City, a 5-kilometer street run and community sports activity was held this morning in Koye Feche sub-district.

 

More than 300 athletes from 20 clubs participated in the 5 km race.

 

In the women's category, Asmarech Asaye from Amhara Police finished first, Dadi Dube from Burayu City Athletic Club and Mrs. Negash from Yeka Tafo finished second and third.

 

In the men's competition, the new glory from Burayu Athletics Club, Milkesa Mengesha from Sebeta Athletics Club and Halefom Tesfaye from Ethio Electric finished from first to third.

 

Athletes who finished first to third in the competition were awarded medals and 20,000 to 30,000 birr depending on their rank.

 

In addition to the street race, there was also a horse show and a martial arts show.
