Kiswahili Language Day was celebrated in Ethiopia

 

#Ethiopia International Kiswahili Language Day, which is celebrated on July 7 every year, was celebrated today in Ethiopia.

 

Toling To Imani Yohani, the founder of the Kiswahili community in Ethiopia, pointed out that the awareness of the language in the country is still low and a lot needs to be done to create awareness.

 

The Kiswahili community in Ethiopia is a community of Kiswahili speakers who come from South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Uganda, Comoros, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya and live in Ethiopia.

 

The community teaches and explains the Kiswahili language and also does campaign activities so that the language is included in the Ethiopian education system.

 

Toling To Imani Yohani, the founder of the Kiswahili community in Ethiopia, said that we want an African Kiswahili center to be established in Ethiopia.
