Robot Car Salesperson Promises to Improve Customer Service

Chinese automobile brand Chery has recently introduced a sales assistant robot called ‘Mornin’ at car dealerships.

 

Although Mornin was first announced in 2023, she only recently started her first job (in 2025) at a car dealership in Kuala Lumpur.

 

Designed to serve customers in car dealerships, Mornin is said to be able to talk to customers, explain the features of cars, and answer their questions.

 

Mornin is also equipped with a device that allows her to accurately understand human messages and commands, as well as to sense objects in her environment.

 

The robot is also said to use ‘deep learning’ language models to help it make decisions and provide personalized responses.

 

Mornin’s manufacturer has announced that it is considering deploying the robot in places such as shopping malls, cinemas and exhibitions in the future.

 

Although Mornin, which has recently entered service, has not yet achieved impressive results, Chery Automobile has indicated that it has big plans for Mornin in the future.
